For some reason when my outlook app is not showing new emails, so I searched online and the advice on Microsoft site was to clear the apps cache and storage (which I did)

This has obviously removed all my setting on my phone so when i go into the app again it asked me to log in again, when i click this is automatically detects my outlook email address, I clock on this (it doesn't ask for password BTW - but i did try to just enter my email and password but same error message) but then just come up with an error saying " error occurred during authentication. Please try again later"

I am using the latest version of Outlook for Android app (27 Feb 2024) - 4.2405.2 (42405820).

I am using Android 14.

I started experiencing this issue today, Feb 27, 2024 as soon as I downloaded the Outlook app for Android.

I can log in successfully to this Yahoo Mail account, using Outlook for Windows, web etc. Only Outlook for Android is a problem.

I had issues with Google and Outlook accounts but then somehow they were resolved when suddenly the Outlook was able to sign in, even when there was the same error message displayed.

How can this be fixed, I need access to my emails asap

    I can add all the accounts in Outlook lite on Android but not android. I recently changed the user name for this user. Uninstalling and reinstslling outlook on android does not work. I have removed all 2 factor authenication from the account, forced stop on autenticator etc.

    Can acess on outlook desktop, web and outlook lite. Some settings seem to be saved on phone somewhere. Cleared data and cache, uninstalled and reinstalled with no luck

    Just had a client with the same issue and this just happened yesterday. Worked for 40 minutes with no solutions. I thought it had something to do with the password that was changed, but they were able to access their email online, just not through the app.

    I am having the same problem.

    After some problems with the Outlook android app, I cleared data, uninstalled and reinstalled, pretty much everything I could think of, now when trying to add my existing email account to the app, I get a log in error, despite using exactly the same login credentials which I have on the desktop a version of Outlook which works fine.

    I am out of ideas.

    I am having the same problem and it also started on July 5, 2024. Have tired uninstalling and reinstalling Outlook app. I have a Microsoft Exchange email account and can't get it working on my Samsung G21. I can still get emails in Outlook on my Samsung Galaxy tablet, my laptop, and my desktop. Just not working on my phone.

    All credentials and network strength are fine.
