Using Outlook for Android in business environments for email and scheduling
Hi serchcher,
I tried all your steps but was not able to login stil getting the same error message so what can be done
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
For some reason when my outlook app is not showing new emails, so I searched online and the advice on Microsoft site was to clear the apps cache and storage (which I did)
This has obviously removed all my setting on my phone so when i go into the app again it asked me to log in again, when i click this is automatically detects my outlook email address, I clock on this (it doesn't ask for password BTW - but i did try to just enter my email and password but same error message) but then just come up with an error saying " error occurred during authentication. Please try again later"
I am using the latest version of Outlook for Android app (27 Feb 2024) - 4.2405.2 (42405820).
I am using Android 14.
I started experiencing this issue today, Feb 27, 2024 as soon as I downloaded the Outlook app for Android.
I can log in successfully to this Yahoo Mail account, using Outlook for Windows, web etc. Only Outlook for Android is a problem.
I had issues with Google and Outlook accounts but then somehow they were resolved when suddenly the Outlook was able to sign in, even when there was the same error message displayed.
How can this be fixed, I need access to my emails asap
Thanks

Hi serchcher,

To add to that, Add YAHOO email account to OUTLOOK FIRST before adding any other account at all to your phone.
The only way to fix this is to install Yahoo MAIL FIRST before installing anything other account on the phone, Which is a ridiculous way to fix a problem.
Microsoft needs to get off their **** and find an APP fix for this.
ReynaldoB,
You guys at Microsoft always come up with the same dumb answers.....Always the users fault. ALL OF US have tried these solutions. If they had worked, we wouldn't be posting in these chats.
Microsoft needs to come up with a FIX not just feed us a bunch of gibberish nonsense that everyone knows.
It's an APP problem and needs to be fixed by someone that gives a **** at Microsoft!
I have the same issue and have tried all suggestions, without success.
