In New Outlook, it opens an email when I click on it.
I want to change the setting to double-click. Please help.

2025-01-30T14:04:52+00:00 I want to clarify that most of the people here, don't want to use the reading pane. They want a double click to open the email in a new window, as it has in previous releases. Reading pane is not a solution so please stop suggesting anything involving it.

Will be staying on the classic for as long as possible at this rate.

2025-01-31T15:51:01+00:00 The reading pane really has nothing to do with this issue. You can have the reading pane on or off to display the email within that pane of the main Outlook window. The issue is having the email open up to a second window on single click vs. a double click.
