How do I get all my Outlook Files moved over to NEW Outlook (Win 10 to Win 11 Migration)

Online, MS is telling me the New Outlook will be in full force in 2024. Options to switch back to Classic OL, will be met with New Outlook take over in 2024. More than one search has stated this and the response is from MS sites. So I'm desperately trying to adapt and fix numerous issues.

You say it is not until 2029? Are we sure on this. If so, I will go back to classic until the create a new outlook that works. I have many years of archived email in a PST file I can't access. I retain for legal reasons. Please advise.

New Outlook will be in force as the replacement of the Win10/11 Mail and Calendar app on December 31, 2024. It will NOT be replacing Classic Desktop Outlook until at least 2029. Please see these articles:

How do I get the old outlook on my new computer????

...I found the link to install the old outlook. This is so absurd. Installing a program on a computer that won't work with existing emails for 4 more years. I've never heard of anything so stupid. It took me 2 hours to resolve this!!!!!

I have found nothing that helps my wife. Her hotmail password is no longer accepted in office 365, so she can't send it receive.

Only work around that I did and it was a lot of work doing so so. I created a new office 365 email account using a Shaw email address and the password for the account . All worked no problem , then I exported the Hotmail email into the Shaw. . So at least she can send out her old files if needed

For this new outlook she is creating new folders into the new outlook and going from there.

There is a work-around that seems to work, but it can get cumbersome if you have a lot of local folders where you have stored emails under old Outlook:

1. revert your Outlook back to old Outlook
2. in old Outlook, drag a local folder from the Local Folders pane on the left, and drop it onto your account name which should be higher up in the folder pane on the left. This will move the emails from your local machine to the Outlook cloud, so it may take a while depending on how many emails are in this folder
3. go back to New Outlook. The folder you just moved should now be listed in the folder pane on the left. IF you don't see it, it may still be moving the emails to the cloud, so you may want to close Outlook and then check back a while later, 5 minutes or so.
4. From there you can drag and drop this folder into the Archive folder if you want to
5. I suggest trying this with a small unimportant local folder to make sure you are satisfied with the result before going to the trouble of moving the rest of your local folders
