Windows 10 will be out of support in October of this year, however, Classic Outlook will NOT be out of support until at least 2029, maybe even longer. There is currently no need to switch to Outlook New. As to the new installation on WIndows 11, there is no problem using a POP account in Outlook Classic on Windows 11. The "14-day automatic delete' is controlled by Outlook. Control Panel > Mail > Email Accounts, select your POP account and click Change. Click the More Settings button and select the Advanced tab. Here you will find an entry labeled Remove from server after (xx) days.

You will probably find this set to 14 days. You can change this to any number of days or turn it off by unchecking the box. This should restore you to manual Inbox maintenance, which you appear to have been using. As to getting Classic Outlook on the new computer, please see this Support article:

    Hi,

I run classic outlook on Win 10 with POP/SMTP and I have ha no problem ever with this. The email provider is telia in Swedaen and they have an application called telia webmail. There is a limit in the mailbox for 250 MB and when it is close to full they send a message to me toask me to mantain the the inbox. Which mean I need archive and /or delete mails. I boought a laptop last year with win 11 and it was installed with classic oulook. I started to use it to prepare my migration from Classic outlook to new because I was told in the end of 2025 there will be no maintanence in Win10 and you need to use the new outlook. I still ahave base on the standalone with win 10 which can not be upgraded 10 win 11 because it to old.

After a while I realise I do not get any mail from Telia that my inbox is close to full. After a while when I checked the Telia webmail. Mail in the inbox who is older than 14 days are automatic delets. I contacted Telia support and they told me to contact Microsoft. The delete function is controlled by microsoft.

When the classic outlook was instlled in my laptop under Win11 i could no longer proceed with POP/SMTP.

Since last summer I have been strugglin to solve this problem. Telia refer to Microsoft and Microssoft do not understand my problem.

CAn you advice me how to proceed.? One other thing happened a while ago. When I started the laptop my classic outlook has disapperad and I was prompted to use the new outlook. I tried to install the classic outlook on win 11 but fail .I am sorry this is a long story bu I start to get frustrated

There is no urgent need to migrate now, Outlook Classic will not be deprecated until at least 2029, maybe longer. Outlook New's .PST abilities are improving, You can now open a .PST file:

There isn't a lot you can do with it yet:

    This is unacceptable.

I have been using windows 10 with Outlook 2010 for ever, we have over 10 different email accounts, all with a tonne of history we need to keep, and you are not supporting a migration???? This is beyond outrageous.

We are going to switch to open source if you do not support these migrations, if we are going to lose all our history, then may as well start again fresh with another supplier. Not happy at all.

What kind of account is this, POP, IMAP, Outlook.com/Live mail/Hotmail/MSN mail, or Exchange Server, and who is the provider (Outlook.com, Gmail, Yahoo, BT, etc.)? The only place I've ever found in Outlook where mail could be deleted after a period of time is with a POP account where you would tell Outlook to "leave a copy of mail on the server", so it can be downloaded by additional computers/email apps, then "removed from the server after (xx) days" to keep it from piling up and possibly exhausting all the server space. Outlook has no such control over any other type of account, IMAP, Exchange, Outlook.com, etc. Do you have any other device (computer, phone, etc) setup on this account using POP protocol?
