I've switched to the new version of Outlook but autocorrect isn't on and I can't work out how to turn it on. There is no 'file' option in the new version of Outlook which is where it used to be in previous versions.

I fully agree, this seems to be a complete oversight by Microsoft. Annoyingly, I am forced to use the new Outlook for some shared mailboxes, and it just makes zero sense for Microsoft to have removed this feature, deliberately or in error.

Although it seems to have improved my typing accuracy through much forced training 😅

I completely agree with everyone who wants Autocorrect returned to Outlook. I use it all the time to speed up my work by using simple shortcuts like "w" for with "q" for because, "lft" for looking forward to, "fff" for my email address, "zzz" for my cell phone etc etc etc. I have literally dozens of these simple little shortcuts that save a ton of time. There is no logical reason to take it away...please bring back autocorrect!

At last I am able to stop auto correct capital letters after period. So to me it seems like something happens.
Would be nice if Microsoft put up a roadmap for planned changes to new Outlook.
Or maybe there is one that I have not found.

Autocorrect is a basic necessity that was established a LONG time ago. I do not understand why it has been missing in this Outlook?

Exactly - why did they even MESS with this? I have a decades long habit of not capitalizing "I" in emails and chat, and it always autocorrected immediately. No one seemed to be complaining about it before, why was it mucked with!
