Turn on autocorrect in NEW Outlook

I've switched to the new version of Outlook but autocorrect isn't on and I can't work out how to turn it on. There is no 'file' option in the new version of Outlook which is where it used to be in previous versions.

This is basic functionality. It is beyond irritating to have all the bells and whistles but not auto-correct to capitalise words at the beginning of a sentence.

Hopefully this has been escalated and will be added to the next iteration?

I agree with all the client responses already shared in this thread! I thought for sure I was missing something or just did not have something turned on... but to eliminate the auto-correct feature and replace it with this Editor feature is absolutely absurd. This is going in reverse in regard to productivity and efficiency. Editor must be opened in EVERY SINGLE email, nothing automatic about it, AND it does not even correct capitalization at the beginning of your sentences, and I have the capitalization feature checked.

I am very disappointed with this "downgrade", and I am going back to the old Outlook right now. I really hope Microsoft makes this error a priority to be corrected before the "official, permanent" change is released.

On a positive note: I love the option given to remove the "top results" from the search feature.

I'm having the same issue. Nothing is automatically capitalizing or autocorrecting, so I have to go back through and click on each underlined issue to fix it. This is SO frustrating! I definitely want it to fix it while I'm typing, just like it use to. I write a lot of emails, and very quickly, so I often type too fast and mix up letters or smash words together, and the fact that I have to go back through and fix each one takes so much extra time. Please, please make it autocorrect these.
