Turn on autocorrect in NEW Outlook

So for 25 years ive been happily typing away using ms products to write sentences in outlook, word and pp and now theyre going to look like htis?

this isnt progress youre adding extra things for me to do. i might as well use google suite, some of its features are far better and cheaper.

automatically, without actions from me;

theyre should be changed to they're

im should be changed to I'm

ms should be changed to Microsoft, if i have that entry in my autocorrect list

i should be I

In the old Outlook under the File / Options / AutoCorrect Menu, it allowed me to create my personal autocorrect options, so if for example i type 3 forward slashes like ///, outlook converted that to a line or paragraph or consistently used text. This was a great time saving feature for me and now i cant find it in the new Outlook. Any guidance or recommendations ?

The same. For this one reason, I will have to go back to the old outlook.

Current Outlook allows me to add my own words to shortcuts I use, such as MS for MicroSoft. This is critical in it's use and helps meet the complex and unique environments we work and live in. It also helps that the words are used throughout all the office products, word, excel and PowerPoint for example.

In the New Outlook, Editor is where all language related checks and corrections are carried out. It needs to be active/open for it to do its job.

With that being said, we would love to hear your concern as a suggestion in Microsoft Feedback Portal for Outlook. I believe that your suggestion is constructive and it could make the use of Outlook even better. We will surely raise your concerns with our Product Development Team and hopefully, this can be included in future updates. Please note new Outlook is still in active development, right now 65 features are in development and 20 more have started to be rolled out. Hi, I have enabled auto correct in the New Outlook editor settings, but it does not work at all. Tried everything I can think of: multiple times disabling / enabling auto correct again, restarting, booting. On the Classic Outlook it works just fine, as well as in Word, Excel, PowerPoint. I cannot use the New Outlook until auto correct works. And while you are at it, please finally bring the same auto correct to Teams, as well. Thanks!!!!
