I've switched to the new version of Outlook but autocorrect isn't on and I can't work out how to turn it on. There is no 'file' option in the new version of Outlook which is where it used to be in previous versions.

Totally agree - MS clearly hasn't taken the most basic steps to listen to its users when "upgrading" this App. Total joke - I'm now less productive as a result. Come on MS - show us you're listening, please.
So for 25 years ive been happily typing away using ms products to write sentences in outlook, word and pp and now theyre going to look like htis?
this isnt progress youre adding extra things for me to do. i might as well use google suite, some of its features are far better and cheaper.
automatically, without actions from me;
theyre should be changed to they're
im should be changed to I'm
ms should be changed to Microsoft, if i have that entry in my autocorrect list
i should be I
etc
This is ridiculous. How could Microsoft launch a New Outlook that does not allow for autocorrect based on the same files Word uses? My new Surface may be faster, but it takes me more time to construct an email because my personal autocorrect changes, such as shortcuts, and even automatically capitalizing i does not work. This needs IMMEDIATE attention.
Moreover, why does my Surface freeze up while typing at times? For some unknown reason this superfast computer just stops when i'm creating an email, or even typing this reply, and i have to wait until it "catches up". Too many bugs to work out and i feel like i'm the guinea pig for Microsoft
how to add your own auto correction rules by using this editor option area?
