I've switched to the new version of Outlook but autocorrect isn't on and I can't work out how to turn it on. There is no 'file' option in the new version of Outlook which is where it used to be in previous versions.

As much as i like to be on the bleeding edge of technology, this is one case where i wish they could give us a choice to stay on Old Outlook. I absolutely hate the new Outlook .
I have been an Outlook user since it was first launched July 1996.
Sadly, there's 'nothing behind that switch' :-(. On or Off, my auto text entries that work perfectly in word, PowerPoint etc. steadfastly refuse to appear in Outlook online.

I was having the same issue as everyone else , coming to this thread to try and resolve it and I think I have found the solution,
Once the 'Editor' is open, at the bottom there is a spot to Click, Customize your editor and then a pop up comes up where you can enable Auto Correct.

In the old Outlook under the File / Options / AutoCorrect Menu, it allowed me to create my personal autocorrect options, so if for example i type 3 forward slashes like ///, outlook converted that to a line or paragraph or consistently used text. This was a great time saving feature for me and now i cant find it in the new Outlook. Any guidance or recommendations ?
