Turn on autocorrect in NEW Outlook

Thanks for the suggestion, but it did not work for me (even after restarting Outlook AND restarting my computer).

A partial work around which works for me, given the configuration our organisation has deployed is to go through Word.

Autocorrect has disappeared for me in Outlook, but my saved Autocorrects still work (thank goodness).

Autocorrect still works in Word, and it is still sitting in my Quick Access Toolbar at the top of Word where I placed it (until the geniuses at Microsoft decide to kill Autocorrect in Word as well).

So I can still add my personalised Autocorrections in Word, and they show up in Outlook. So, I just added DC = Data Centre in Word and it has shown up in Outlook.

I restarted Outlook, not sure whether it was necessary, but didn't initially work in an email I was already composing.

So, Autocorrect is gone in Outlook, but it still exists in Word, and appears to talk with Outlook.

More work, but still saves time overall.

Wake up Microsoft, people complaining loudly about it for over a year!!

How do I add a custom auto-correct or disable a standard one? For example, if I type "EB" then Outlook autocorrects it to "BE" every time, no matter how many times I undo it. I type "EB" into almost every single email I send, because it's the department I work in. I do not want to have to delete and retype it every single time.

This was a very simple and easy setting to find in Word and the old Outlook. I cannot find it in the new Outlook. Please advise.

It has been almost a year and autocorrect/spellcheck is not working still. Please get this going...

In the old Outlook, I would use autocorrect to cover some mathematic symbols that I insert frequently, such as ±, °, ≈, π and other Greek letters, etc. Looking things up in the "Character Map" or using the strange alt codes isn't at all acceptable. When I was communicating with some German folk, I would also use the autocorrect to rapidly deploy ö, ä, ß and... Unlike some others, I can go back to the OLD version of Outlook until you work this out!!
