Can we move the toolbar back to bottom of left-side pane?

So, my outlook at work updated and now the toolbar for mail, calendar, groups, etc is on the left-hand side, rather than icons at the bottom of the navigation pane.

Is there a way to choose to have it back at the bottom as the left-hand side looks awful?

Hi Bee Frasier,

Thank you for posting on Microsoft community, I’m happy to assist you on this inquiry.

As per your description your Navigation bar was relocated after an outlook update and you're trying to relocate it to the bottom . Please correct me if I'm wrong.

To my understanding you're not using the new Outlook , I have done some research on your inquiry and concluded that Navigation bar location can be adjusted to the bottom by applying the following steps:

  1. Open the Outlook desktop app.
  2. Click File, then Options.
  3. In the window that opens, select Advanced.
  4. Under the Outlook Panes section, uncheck the box that says "Show apps in Outlook."
  5. Restart Outlook and your navigation bar would be relocated at the bottom

    Dear Microsoft Moderator,

    I am continuously amazed as to the poor quality, lack of consistency and obvious omission of thought as to how people really use the MS suite.

    But what would one expect given the revenues from MS can only be many billions of dollars. Obviously one can't expect an elegant and cohesive suite of programs for such small beer.

    Just saying.
