Can we move the toolbar back to bottom of left-side pane?

So, my outlook at work updated and now the toolbar for mail, calendar, groups, etc is on the left-hand side, rather than icons at the bottom of the navigation pane.

Is there a way to choose to have it back at the bottom as the left-hand side looks awful?

Hi Bee Frasier,

Thank you for posting on Microsoft community, I’m happy to assist you on this inquiry.

As per your description your Navigation bar was relocated after an outlook update and you're trying to relocate it to the bottom . Please correct me if I'm wrong.

To my understanding you're not using the new Outlook , I have done some research on your inquiry and concluded that Navigation bar location can be adjusted to the bottom by applying the following steps:

  1. Open the Outlook desktop app.
  2. Click File, then Options.
  3. In the window that opens, select Advanced.
  4. Under the Outlook Panes section, uncheck the box that says "Show apps in Outlook."
  5. Restart Outlook and your navigation bar would be relocated at the bottom

    I am getting asked this question from about 20 people now, regedit does not work either. please get fix ASAP!!! i can't stand when Microsoft does this stuff, with no way of reverting back!

    I need to use the new Microsoft, so I need an actually fix please.

    Need that toolbar back at the bottom left.

    I don't know if you have noticed but this Question has arisen again because of the (New) Outlook, and its driving people to call Microsoft a Pain in the **** with all the enforced changes.

    Please advise a way to move the Navigation Bar back to the bottom in the (New) Outlook, because it is saying "We" are all going to have to use it soon.

    Can you respond to JB-EC and my inquiry regarding this option/feature in the "New Outlook"? I've reverted back to the old version since I could not find how to move it the the bottom.
