Outlook Calendar not showing changes to linked Google Calendar

Since you are using New Outlook, you could add your Gmail account to New Outlook and that should natively sync the calendar. It should work better than the Internet Calendar. Edits you make in New Outlook or Gmail should sync both ways too. This is capability that is only in New Outlook. This does not work in Classic Outlook, and you would have to use Internet Calendar with it.

I had been using the old Outlook. I have since switched to the New Outlook and instead of using a shared calendar, I did add my Google calendar as an Internet calendar, using the same shareable/secret link. I no longer select the shared calendar, but the Google calendar shows up as an option and when selected to show, it is incorporated into my regular calendar. No need to see a second tab, or use the arrow to bring them together.

Also, it "seems" (I say this hesitatingly) that it may now be updating when I both add a new event and delete and old one, although removing the deleted item took at least a few hours, maybe overnight.

I don't, in general, like the new Outlook, as there are things that have been taken out that I used all the time, but at least this feature seems better.

That's an interesting suggestion. But my Gmail calendar doesn't show up as an Internet Calendar, but is a Shared Calendar using the shareable calendar link. As a Shared Calendar it seems with the Cached Exchange turned off, that it doesn't update the calendar at all, even with new events, let alone update changes to existing events.

Yes, have the same issue. I don't show a cache option at all. I'm running Windows 11, Office 365. When I add the calendar, which I've removed and reloaded several times, it just shows a static snapshot of the current google calendar (using the secret iCal method), but then does not update additions or deletions (definitely not within hours of the change, so suspect never).

It's almost like Windows does not want to play nice with Mac/Google and the iCal option.

I have also added the google email inbox to see if that was the source of the static view, but it did not fix the issue.
