Forced to use New Outlook wiped my entire calendar, can I get it back? Can the tray icon clock calendar be connected to New Outlook?

Same. I worked around it for months and could always get back to the 'old outlook'. Not now. I wouldn't exactly call it 'sad'- more like 'infuriating'; in search of effective action and solutions. There's gotta be a way. I have a lot of duplicate data in journals and 'samsung notes'... They can take way the old view, but they can't force you to use their new version.

Hi.. in control panel it specifies 'uninstall programs', but then doesn't list outlook as a 'program'. Instead it is listed elsewhere as an 'app', and I have 2 of em-' classic' and 'new'. Meanwhile, I grappled with 'new' calendar again, and it seemed (maybe) to have added a couple of previously unseen options. 1) It now has an option to view by the month- not just the current month, but previous months. 2) I found out how add or modify items on a date that had previously told me 'this event has passed'- but still find the small space allowed for entries to be unacceptable. 3) They no longer have a toggle for 'old outlook', but there is a 'view' option they refer to as 'classic outlook'- and it does, finally, take me back to the old version. However, to get there I have to make sure I have the internet up and running, deal with that atrocious gaping maw of an envelope, wait around for some variety of calendar access without all the other unwanted functions, and then deal with all its inadequacies. If nothing else, that is an extreme waste of time- and I can't begin to have reliable internet access to start with,

This is *our* data, stored on their software, which we access *after* purchasing it. And it had always *appeared* to be a standalone, offline item securely resident on my computer. I hadn't networked it to any other device or app.

It is now obvious that they can at will invade any such program or app, online or offline, put the data into a new version in partial form, and block any access to the, shall we say, forceably redacted data .

How many other apps, or programs, etc, were or are forceably modified or migrated to a different format, with concurrent loss of data, as well as decreased utility in the new format?

The old version had its limitations, but was extremely versatile and user-friendly. I don't think they really understood how extremely useful and valuable a tool it was- and should by rights continue to be.

samething happened to me hour on line to mircosoft they couldn't fix it and now nothing in new outlook will saved

The new Outlook App is a piece of ****. I assume Microsoft wanted more control of my Data, they want to know who my contacts are, when my appointments are, what emails are being sent to me. I really think it's not anyone's business. The worst thing of all is the calendar I tried to put a doctors appointment and a message popped up telling me to try later, that's when I had it I uninstall ed Outlook and the calendar. It wouldn't let me go back to the old calendar when I tried that It kept putting Outlook back on. Whoever designed this program Must be a DEI hire.
