Send updates only to added or deleted attendees in new outlook

I have been testing your query from my end and based on my test result, I can confirm for you that when you add or remove attendees for a previously created event, Outlook will only send an invitation or cancellation email to the specific attendees who are added or removed from the event by default. Therefore, the other attends in the event will not receive the update.

However, if you are facing different scenario, could you please check in outlook web app ( https://outlook.office.com/) within your account and check if the issue persists. This will narrow down if the issue is with the account or the app itself.

Thank you for your response but it does not work that way for me. When I delete or add someone on a meeting invite it sends the update to all attendees not just the person I added or removed.

I just had to do that and I am now getting responses from all 17 attendees not just the persons added and removed.

I am using the desktop app not the online client so maybe it is an issue with the desktop app.

And not only does it send the meeting to all attendees. If it is a recurring meeting it doesn't just send one email for the series it sends individual emails for all meetings in the series from past dates and just one email for the series for all future dates

I have attached a sample of this. This person was an existing attendee who received the meeting invite again when I removed an attendee. He not only received an email to accept all meetings in the future, but he also received multiple emails to accept individually for past meetings in the series

I have been testing your query from my end on different device and the New Outlook for Windows works as expected. Therefore, please kindly repair your new Outlook application and check if there is any difference. To repair your Outlook, please kindly go to your device Settings -->Apps -->Installed apps -->Find Outlook app, click on Three dot and select Advance options -->click Repair button. then check if there is any difference. you can refer to the screenshot below.
