Outlook office 2016 keeps asking for password for my personal email but not for my company email.

Hi I have a problem where my personal email gets a login prompt after opening the outlook (2016 office version 16.0.5426.1000) and useing it for about 5 minutes. Hoewer my work email has no problems on the same app and the same PC. The difference is that my work email is company hosted and my personal is hosted on live.com by microsoft.

Both my accounts use microsoft exchange.

It seems you can do nothing with that but to purchase a newer version of Office.

That is correct, the only way to fix the problem is to upgrade to 2019 or 2021 version of office. My Groupon purchase is still working well. I have purchased a 2nd copy for a friend and still works for them too!

Outlook 2003 upto 2019 does not have modern authentication enabled and as off 3 weeks ago will not run.

Only way to get outlook to work is to have windows 10 or 11 and purchase a copy of Office 2021.

Office 2021 will not run on any other version of windows.

Look here about how to enable authentication for outlook 2019.
