This solution doesn't work with the newest version of the desktop app of outlook. How would I go about doing this same process with the new version of outlook that doesn't have file tab?

I had same issue not opening hyperlinks and links locally saved on server with the new Outlook

---The solution that really works , having a 3 button mouse or where the scroll button is clickable , the scroll button works for opening hyperlink...

hope it works for you guys

Ok, I finally fixed the issue on my machine. win10 pro 64.

The links in Outlook were dead when default app was Chrome.

So, changed default to Edge and the links worked.

So checked links in other apps; worked with Chrome no prob.

So first tried flush cache, etc. in Chrome.

    No joy.

So then uninstalled and did a fresh install of Chrome.

    Joy.
    But what a nuisance.

So, see above before anyone wants to tell me the prob is Chrome, not Outlook.

This doesn't work for me as I have no 'Link Style' option under 'Compose and Reply'. The only 'Link' option anywhere in Settings I can find is 'Link preview' under 'Compose and Reply.'

The "Link style" options only exist with (certain) business subscriptions which include Microsoft Loop. See my previous reply.

I recommend that you ask a separate question. Go to https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook_com/forum?sort=LastReplyDate&dir=Desc&tab=All and use the Ask a new question link at the top of the forums page.
