Message Body Font in Outlook Suddenly Small

Yesterday my Outlook updated to a new version. The text of the message body is so small it is useless in the preview pane. The subject line font is huge while the message body font is tiny. What do I have to do to make the fonts the same size? I have tried accessibility text font changes that make it worse. I tried large, medium and small in outlook and it has no effect on the message body font. Preview pane image included. Thank you for your support. I have Windows 11.

    That didn't help at all. Every time I open new message, the text is too small to read. When simply looking at messages, the text is fine. I haven't done anything to cause the outgoing messages to have small text. What can I try next?

    I was wrong, now every email I open is too small to read. My settings message format font is calibri 12. I just changed it to 20 and that didn't make any difference. What is going on? This is unacceptable.

    Someone below posted the answer and I'm going to reply with it as well to give it a bump-

    if you double click a message, you open a separate panel that has a zoom option up top. You can control the zoom there which ONLY controls the message windows -__-. This fixes the stupid issue.

    Why do you need to open a new panel for this control if it affects the panel when it's closed? yeah no idea. bad UI.

    Hi All!

    I stumbled upon the solution by pure happenstance ... it's so dumb!

    If you open any email in a separate pane (by double-clicking it), you'll notice that pane has an independent zoom button at the top of the new window:

    ...

    This zoom button will also change the zoom of your email in the normal reading pane. Somehow mine was set to like 60%, which is why all the text was super tiny. What a dumb setting! No way to change it anywhere else, as far as I can tell 🤦‍♀️

    This here is the solution. Absolutely right -- this is really dumb. Thank you!
