Message Body Font in Outlook Suddenly Small

Yesterday my Outlook updated to a new version. The text of the message body is so small it is useless in the preview pane. The subject line font is huge while the message body font is tiny. What do I have to do to make the fonts the same size? I have tried accessibility text font changes that make it worse. I tried large, medium and small in outlook and it has no effect on the message body font. Preview pane image included. Thank you for your support. I have Windows 11.

Regards,

Tim

I had the same issue, spending hours to find a way to fix it. My setup:

    • MacBook Pro
    • Chrome and Edge, behaved the same for both
    • Outlook 365

    To fix:

    • Open an email message in pop-out mode (ie, not with the viewing pane)
    • Find the "Zoom" button on the top toolbar of the pop-out message
    • Click reset

I didn't find a working fix easily, so here is what worked for me, just in case someone hasn't offered a working fix.

    1. Determine what 'Ribbon' layout you are in. (Mine was in the 'Simplified Ribbon' mode which hides the 'Zoom' button.)
      1. Open the email.
      2. Look for the down arrow at the right-hand side of the ribbon.
      3. Click the down arrow.
    2. Ensure you have the the 'Classic Ribbon' option selected.
    3. You should now see the 'Zoom' magnifying glass button.
    4. Click the 'Zoom' magnifying glass button.
    5. Change the 'Percent' to '100'

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Everyone,

Don't use the zoom on your browser. Instead go to the View tab in outlook. There is a Zoom feature built in there and change it to 100%. I don't know what key strokes reset that, but it does happen quite often
