Using New Outlook on Windows for professional communication and productivity
I don't have a "reading pane" that opens when I double-click it...I'm talking about the website, not the app.

Yesterday my Outlook updated to a new version. The text of the message body is so small it is useless in the preview pane. The subject line font is huge while the message body font is tiny. What do I have to do to make the fonts the same size? I have tried accessibility text font changes that make it worse. I tried large, medium and small in outlook and it has no effect on the message body font. Preview pane image included. Thank you for your support. I have Windows 11.

Tim

This resolved my issue. In my case, it was set to 50%
Great find, and thanks for posting!
For others like me who have never opened an Outlook message in a new window: click the three dots *in the message* (just above the date and time), then select "View", then "Open in new window".
Hi All!
I stumbled upon the solution by pure happenstance ... it's so dumb!
If you open any email in a separate pane (by double-clicking it), you'll notice that pane has an independent zoom button at the top of the new window:
This zoom button will also change the zoom of your email in the normal reading pane. Somehow mine was set to like 60%, which is why all the text was super tiny. What a dumb setting! No way to change it anywhere else, as far as I can tell 🤦♀️
Hopefully this helps someone!
Microsoft apparently doesn't care. There's a new development, however. When I updated Edge last time, I noticed that it's now happening in Edge, too. They should be spending less time pushing Windows 11 on everyone, and more time fixing things that need to be fixed.
I have the same issue. Using the outlook web browser, the email folders and messages are normal font but when I open an email in the preview the font size is tiny. Using the zoom tool makes everything in the window bigger to where the folders are 150% just to get the email font to a normal size.
Was there any solution found?
