Message Body Font in Outlook Suddenly Small

Yesterday my Outlook updated to a new version. The text of the message body is so small it is useless in the preview pane. The subject line font is huge while the message body font is tiny. What do I have to do to make the fonts the same size? I have tried accessibility text font changes that make it worse. I tried large, medium and small in outlook and it has no effect on the message body font. Preview pane image included. Thank you for your support. I have Windows 11.

Regards,

Tim

Thank you for finding this! I too had the same issue and once I found the Zoom icon I was able to adjust the body of the font back to 100%. It was at 80%.

I had this issue, too. Then I realized that my "Zoom" setting (under the "View" menu) was accidentally changed to 90%. Once I changed it back to 100% everything looked normal again. Hope this helps.

"This zoom button will also change the zoom of your email in the normal reading pane"

You also have to add the 'Options' button on the taskbar and only then you will find you can set it to 100%. This was driving me mad. I could see the entire email thread in a suitable sized font including my earlier replies but as soon as I tried to reply to an email, the entire text within the pane shrunk down to an illegible font size. This had somehow become set to 55% so my 11point text was now around 5pt and needed serious squinting to read clearly.

To be honest, this sort of thing is a real turn off for MS products. Email is a feature complete product and users just expect it to work. You've had a good run with is and now its time to move on and invent something novel. You are not going to sell more software if you alienate people by simple usability gotchas like this. The fact that this is my only way to get work emails is the one any only reason I am using this program. Go off an use your squillions of dollars to actually invent and test something new and genuinely useful.

For me the Zoom drop down was only visible from when the View tab/menu item was selected. However, this tip completely resolved this issue for me. Thank you.
