Add IMAP email on the recent outlook new 2023 doesn't work

Try this:

1. Ignore the password and cancel.
2. Re-add the Comcast.net account in. I too am Comcast. however, I don't quite think they are done.

I am using on one PC Office 2021 Pro Business and on the other Office 2016

Sterling - thanks ... but I have done just that before with no help at all. I entered my bob .....comcast.net email under "create" and a new password and when it asked, on my, phone, checked it as the email to use, I then tried to send from my phone (a Samsung Galaxy 21) an email from the BLIEB app (a chess recorder)... AGAIN it put me into a loop like we don't know you are, have to tell us your IMAP Password ... and all that - you just want to scream. I have Office 360 on all my PCs and Phones. They haven't yet "improved" my Desktop, so I copy the games out of the phone's memory and send them out from the desktop. BUT I BASICALLY HAVE NO OUTGOING EMAIL CAPABILITY AT ALL ON MY PHONE. Apparently they would like to have me store (not optionally) all my emails on Microsoft's cloud so they can make them available to all the devices from one place - this might be a solution to the endess 10 minute "Synchronizing" problem Outllook now has - you know the one that runs out the clock while you wait for a "confirmation" code from some financial institution - and which "synchronizing" you cannot turn off ...

There are still nothing about the New outlook for windows sync via microsoft cloud. If it would became unfamiliar login ips which may be intercept by some server since it maybe not from the normal customers of the server usually using IP range. (Even the Microsoft their-selves servers.)
The old versions could be chosen to via cloud or not while setting the Yahoo Japan IMAP at least around July 2023, but it could not set a different login name such as the secret ID of Yahoo Japan.
The old version being at around August or September 2023, it could be set as a different login name after error and using the appearing advanced button, and set the incoming, outgoing server, and etc. And there is no way to choose via cloud or not. But the Yahoo Japan show unusual logins from the Malaysia. Tried to find the ip whois, it shows the ips were the Microsoft owned IPs in the Malaysia. It seemed that the New outlook connected via Microsoft cloud in the Malaysia to Yahoo Japan.
(It may use other Microsoft cloud around the world depends on the source and destination. And the ips of the Microsoft cloud may not my usually using ips for the target servers.)
