I just tried the NEW outlook.
I can sort by names A-Z, but then I have to scroll to find the person.
The old outlook, I could just type the first letter and it would jump to that name.
Is there a setting in the new outlook that allows you to jump to the letter when typed?

This is where to add your "upvote" to the suggestions to improve pile.
The muppet that removed this function should be sent to Siberia.
This is pathetic....from 2023 to 2025, they couldnt fix it and they charge 1000s of $$ to corporate. Time for Microsoft alternative.
Ok everyone - Microsoft isn't willing to sort this one out easily (like they could/should) so you need to start upvoting improvements.
Follow this link to the "Community Ideas" page - https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback/
Then type sort by name new outlook into the search bar, and start Upvoting the suggestions. They might then start to listen.
Otherwise, revert to Classic Outlook where your business package allows it.
Good luck
