Outlook sort by name, but can't jump to name

I just tried the NEW outlook.

I can sort by names A-Z, but then I have to scroll to find the person.

The old outlook, I could just type the first letter and it would jump to that name.

Is there a setting in the new outlook that allows you to jump to the letter when typed?

    Same here, come on Microsoft....

    This is a basic feature you cannot remove it without noticing it!

    I do not archive emails, I usually search by sender and now I have to scroll manuallly to the sender every single time.

    For this scenario, users may need to use feedback option via selecting Help menu under the new Outlook for Windows, this way, you may need to contact our app support team to submit your this situation directly to our product developer team. They can further investigate few things based on your submitted information. They can also develop some convenient options in new Outlook for Windows in future based on users' valuable suggestion and ideas. Our product developer team also need some suggestion from users side to improve new Outlook experience. Your feedback is very important for them.

    Same issue here! my mails via the new outlook have been so difficult to navigate without the sort -then jump to function. Microsoft, can you please put it back ASAP!
