Outlook sort by name, but can't jump to name

I just tried the NEW outlook.

I can sort by names A-Z, but then I have to scroll to find the person.

The old outlook, I could just type the first letter and it would jump to that name.

Is there a setting in the new outlook that allows you to jump to the letter when typed?

I switched back to the old outlook, trying the new Outlook was probably the worst decision of 2024 in terms of productivity. Hopefully this release will be scrapped all together.

Is there a way to unsubscribe from email updates on this (probably will never get fixed) missing feature?

The email says "Unsubscribe: on the question, select the Subscribe option and then select Unsubscribe." but I don't get unsubscribe option :(

Over a year old and no response or fix to this issue? Outlook is unusable for me without this feature, too much of a productivity hit. I'll stick with Outlook 2016 until its resolved.
