I just tried the NEW outlook.
I can sort by names A-Z, but then I have to scroll to find the person.
The old outlook, I could just type the first letter and it would jump to that name.
Is there a setting in the new outlook that allows you to jump to the letter when typed?

Still we have same issue... why Microsoft is not listening to this issue...
After reading 2 years of comments and feedback and still no fix, this is crazy. I too will be moving back to the older Outlook version until this is fixed.
Come on Microsoft, I am going back to the old Outlook.
Exactly! I've been posting and posting about this on different forums and EVERYone agrees. Yes there are some dumb and convoluted workarounds, obviously I can scroll for days and find what I need, but to have no update or response from Microsoft is sad.
