I just tried the NEW outlook.
I can sort by names A-Z, but then I have to scroll to find the person.
The old outlook, I could just type the first letter and it would jump to that name.
Is there a setting in the new outlook that allows you to jump to the letter when typed?

Sure I will go back to the old version NOW. It was hard to set up the outlook preferences when moving from Google to outlook 4 years ago... and being the search features the most important for me, this is a no-go.
I presume this is with the old outlook?
Hi all. I am using the new outlook for mac. I turned on "show group headers" in the settings. With that enabled, I sorted by name and am now able to type a character and it will advance to the first group header with that character (or nearest one).

Oh, I see. It looks like you're on the web version of Outlook. I'm using the desktop version.
I don't know if that functionality is available in the web version.
