Outlook sort by name, but can't jump to name

I just tried the NEW outlook.

I can sort by names A-Z, but then I have to scroll to find the person.

The old outlook, I could just type the first letter and it would jump to that name.

Is there a setting in the new outlook that allows you to jump to the letter when typed?

    I also find this problem to be super annoying. I've only recently started using the new outlook from the old/corporate version through my company. It's unbelievable that, after so many comments of complaint, the programmers at Microsoft have not done anything about this. It's clearly a simple fix - so easy to do yet why are they ignoring this? It's such a handy, quick tool for finding emails. Please Microsoft, listen to what your users are telling you and do something about this!!!!!!

    This is a big oversight and extremely frustrating. Have to downgrade to previous version.

    I just sent my feedback to Microsoft. Let's wait and see how quick it is getting fixed.

    Sharing the search term above, as an Image; it was stripped, from the post above due to privacy concerns.

    In my case, this mostly offsets the loss of functionality.
