Outlook sort by name, but can't jump to name

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS so very frustrating not to have this feature that I use every day multiple times a day based on muscle memory. This is not people clinging to some old outdated way of doing things. This will be a reason I will refuse to migrate to the new and not use all the other things that are improvements because this one thing throws so many roadblocks into my daily functions. Please fix.

These type of responses are so frustrating to read. This is a function that should be a core function of the Outlook application. How this could be removed in the developer room is unbelievable. And this response makes it clear that we're never going to get it back. Thanks, Microsoft. Another core function that has been removed to make the product worse. In fact, I would argue that almost all of Microsoft's functions have been becoming worse over time. It's beyond frustrating, and makes me lose productivity at work. I get paid to be on Outlook, and now my job just got harder because of no fault of my own or my employer, except for deciding to go with Microsoft in the first place. It is my least favorite platform to use, and it keeps getting worse.

We're piloting the new look, many folks I work alongside have done the same. Some run both old and new side-by-side, but that approach isn't viable, from a broad deployment standpoint. Taking advantage of advanced search terms [as in, from:"******@acme.com" AND "STRING1" AND "STRING2"], and speed of same admittedly make-up for the loss of functionality, to an extent, but seemingly not sufficiently, in the minds of some.

I have a toggle in the top right-hand corner of my Outlook Desktop App. This is where I switched the new Outlook off. The Outlook (PWA) or Outlook on microsoft 365 is also missing the search functionality. The one positive feature I see with that version is being able to pin emails to the top of my Inbox window. I am running both the desktop and PWA versions at the same time so that I can get the best of both.
