Disable auto-delete of accepted meeting invites in the *new" Outlook?

The existing Outlook app for Windows has a setting to prevent calendar invites from being automatically sent to Deleted Items* when you accept them. Is this setting available in New Outlook?

Microsoft just announced that starting in 2024, the new Outlook will be the "official" one. I'm really concerned that features like this may be ignored when trying to reach feature parity. So, Is there an official feature request page for this? They exist for other Microsoft products I use, but I didn't find one dedicated to the New Outlook.

*Deleted Items is the wrong choice even if I wanted this! Archive would be the smarter location for a modern email didn't. (But the best thing would be too simply not do actions the user didn't request!) Thanks again.

    Admission that this is a mistake in 2023- it's now September 2024 and still Outlook inexplicably deletes my invite emails (including the link!) when I accept!

    That's deleting the emails I want most! What brainless developer thought of this idea? Is it supposed to be that we all use the calendar so religiously that in their infinite wisdom, Microsoft devs have decided that we don't need to keep certain emails?

    How about I write the rules by which Satya Nadella will manage his email? No? Surprise!

    One of the first replies had it right - "Or, Microsoft could stop making it do things I haven't requested."

    That pretty much says it all.

    It's not a feature, it's a bug. Now get to work and fix it.

    Dear MS team, it is nice you at least spend time on deleting my earlier post in this topic. Interesting you have time to do that instead of fixing the problem.

    Welcome to the illustrious realm of Microsoft Teams support, where good questions go to die in the bottomless pit of bureaucratic oblivion.

    We've been eagerly awaiting, for what feels like a geological epoch, a proper answer or even a hint of a plan for resolving this issue.     Did they disable this?? There's no File or Options views anymore... Just this with no "Advanced Settings" or ability to update to so accepted meetings are still shown in my inbox...

    I hope Microsoft fixes this!! I am incredibly frustrated that this could be causing me to miss pertinent information related to the meetings. I have checked the box and unchecked the box to try both ways and the emails are still being deleted.
