Disable auto-delete of accepted meeting invites in the *new" Outlook?

Hello, I don't have such an option on my Outlook 1.2025.129.300. Which version do you have? Maybe it's not deployed for everyone.

Now, there is a checkbox in the settings which allows disabling the deleting of invite messages.

Navigate to View > View settings > Calendar > Events and invitations and unselect "Delete invitations from inbox after responding" in section "Invitations from other people".

It is totally unacceptable that MS still hasn't fixed this simple issue. It was senseless to have this feature as default in the first place.

If you also use Teams alongside the new Outlook, try to respond to calendar invites in Teams. In this way, your email invites will not be deleted. Hope this helps for ppl who are waiting for a MS Outlook solution.

The existing Outlook app for Windows has a setting to prevent calendar invites from being automatically sent to Deleted Items* when you accept them. Is this setting available in New Outlook?

Microsoft just announced that starting in 2024, the new Outlook will be the "official" one. I'm really concerned that features like this may be ignored when trying to reach feature parity. So, Is there an official feature request page for this? They exist for other Microsoft products I use, but I didn't find one dedicated to the New Outlook.

*Deleted Items is the wrong choice even if I wanted this! Archive would be the smarter location for a modern email didn't. (But the best thing would be too simply not do actions the user didn't request!) Thanks again.

I was surprised that this same functionality is not in the *New* (PWA) version of Outlook. I too want to hang on to all the meeting invites and having them sent to a separate folder, whether archive or not, would be a much better approach, from my POV as well.

Reading these posts today, I think it may be better for the overall future platform to allow a rule to be written to copy meeting invites to a separate archive or other folder when they are received? Of course, one would not want to see 2 copies of every meeting invite appearing in their calendar, but it seems it should be possible to keep such a folder from being included in the Calendar view.

Also, perhaps the Power Automate team could write a template workflow for everyone to find and clone?

Please let us know what sort of workarounds are for this very annoying default behavior.

Dear Admins,

I can report the same problem, same trouble shooting steps, same result, as discussed above. We loose time and information due to a clear mistake in the program development chain. There is no excuse for this bug. From above discussion I grasp that this malfunction does negatively impact economy. I can add the following perspective: We work in public research, so humanity also looses opportunities for progress. There is no plausible explanation why a bug isn't resolved that requires just a select option which was already developed for previous versions of the software. Fix immediately please.
