Disable auto-delete of accepted meeting invites in the *new" Outlook?

The existing Outlook app for Windows has a setting to prevent calendar invites from being automatically sent to Deleted Items* when you accept them. Is this setting available in New Outlook?

Microsoft just announced that starting in 2024, the new Outlook will be the "official" one. I'm really concerned that features like this may be ignored when trying to reach feature parity. So, Is there an official feature request page for this? They exist for other Microsoft products I use, but I didn't find one dedicated to the New Outlook.

Thanks for your help with these topics!

*Deleted Items is the wrong choice even if I wanted this! Archive would be the smarter location for a modern email didn't. (But the best thing would be too simply not do actions the user didn't request!) Thanks again.

    Hi Inema,

It's been 7 months to the date and this isn't fixed yet. Windows 10 suggested me to migrate to the "New Outlook" in Dec 2023. I migrated and now I have to deal with this everyday.

Do you have any timeline to fix this issue for everyone?

    Regards,

    Rupam Das

    Hi Inema,

Same question as from previous person. We are trying to use new Outlook version, but not being able to prevent deleting of invitation are hard blocker for us. Most of the invitation to meetings have content in the email which is highly needed and every time we are accepting event we need to go to deleted items and then move it back to inbox. After using it for a while, I feel like abandoning new version can be best idea for myself.
Do we have any ETA or even information if this problem will be touched anytime soon or we should not expect it and just go back to old version?

    Best regards,
    Jakub Janiszewski

check these instructions, I guess this will solve your problem. https://ut.service-now.com/sp?id=kb\_article&number=KB0012026

Outlook usually sends meeting requests to the Deleted Items folder when you respond to a meeting request. To change this setting and keep your meeting requests:

    1. Click the File tab, then Options, and then select Mail.
    2. Under the Send messages heading, make sure the Delete meeting requests and notifications from Inbox after responding checkbox is not selected.
    3. Click the OK button to close the dialog box.

    Hi Inema,

Thank you for your well thought out reply. I appreciate the time taken to verify that I did not overlook a setting for it.

It's great that you are able to mention this to the Product Development Team! That's actually much more than I was expecting! Hopefully they will see the value in keeping this feature.

Glad for the explanation of where to leave feedback as well. I wasn't sure whether that was the best place, or if there was one of those "Vote for features" types of page that would be better.

    Thanks again!

(Btw, it really is surprising default behavior for me! I understand that the contents are copied to the calendar entry, but often I'll want to review the information again later that day. It's usually more effort to find where the event is scheduled in my calendar than to find the saved invite.)
