After researching how to get it back to how it looked, which was much more in my taste, much easier to navigate, had what I needed and nothing more, - I now see I can't get it back after it was updated. I think i'm gonna completely disgard of this email, I liked how it looked on PC, it was dark, fast, easy to find things, now it's very complicated with a lot of options and tools i have no use for, and it's bright, with small buttons everywhere. The browser version is alright, so that is what I will be using. I will uninstall outlook completely as a program from my PC, as I do not wish to have this update, and it's more trouble and much more confusing and irritating, than helping and good. It will complicate work and how easy it was before, but that's just how it is, when updates are being forced upon people. It's a typical thing of big coperations to do this, so it dosen't surprise me, that some people who think they know it all, make something new, to shove down the users throat, instead of being able to choose ourselves.

I just clicked on try the new Outlook and I like that I can pin items to the top of the list but I am missing all the basic functionality. There is no File option so I can get to Account Settings top add or remove accounts, there is no Send/Receive, there is no status at the bottom of the screen to show me if I am connected or the status of syncing to my PC. I agree with everyone on this page. Outlook for the PC/MAC is a business app and just adding the Pin feature and leaving everything else alone would have been perfect for me. I have tried to find a way to revert back to the old Outlook so I can get some work done but there is no longer a button to return to the previous look, which I was expecting since it said "try" the new Outlook. If it says "try", I expect there to be a way to say "Nope" and go back. I have searched and searched and all I find in Help is that "it is no longer possible to return to the previous Outlook." Bad on you Microsoft. Maybe talk to business customers before taking away common functionality! The new version looks like a child's web app and has such limited functionality that I will be forced to use the GMAIL app so I can get at least a small part of the functionality I previously took for granted back. Microsoft may be trying to shift the focus to the 5-second-gratification crowd but you are alienating the customers who butter your bread!

I am the original poster of this "question", and I have a Mac. It doesn't help any when it comes to Outlook. Nice try at solving the issue, though!

yep it is yes no ine is going to pay monthly for 365 we all would only buy 365 permanent not never never nobody do it no it should be for on price never owe anything of course as past proves Microsoft is crooked.. and for outlook in browser them adding adds spam making it look like mail is not legal everybody report to federal rrade com on microsoft adding fake emails adding spam junk in email check here it is not legal. https://www.ftc.gov/business-guidance/resources/can-spam-act-compliance-guide-business kits a big fine for every piece of spam not each persons event no each individual action and piece
