The new update on OUTLOOK mail, is terrible

After researching how to get it back to how it looked, which was much more in my taste, much easier to navigate, had what I needed and nothing more, - I now see I can't get it back after it was updated.
I think i'm gonna completely disgard of this email, I liked how it looked on PC, it was dark, fast, easy to find things, now it's very complicated with a lot of options and tools i have no use for, and it's bright, with small buttons everywhere.

  • The browser version is alright, so that is what I will be using. I will uninstall outlook completely as a program from my PC, as I do not wish to have this update, and it's more trouble and much more confusing and irritating, than helping and good. It will complicate work and how easy it was before, but that's just how it is, when updates are being forced upon people.

It's a typical thing of big coperations to do this, so it dosen't surprise me, that some people who think they know it all, make something new, to shove down the users throat, instead of being able to choose ourselves.

Microsoft is absolutely dropping the ball with this Outlook "update". It's appauling, honestly. Name a single average consumer, let alone a professional relying on a consistent and easy to use interface, that approves of these nonsensical changes.

I've absolutely had enough of the New Outlook. Nothing short of horrible (as what is already said here). I'm going back to Classic.

My huge frustration is that it just lacks any of the functions that Word has. Simple things like 'Convert Text to Table' is not possible in the new version.

This is just one of the many examples of the things that has been stripped out and made it an inefficient way to do business. I'm all for embracing new tech, but this is just beyond a joke. It seriously needs some attention to make it more usable.

I'm done with Outlook on Mac - just moved my Hotmail and work Exchange accounts to Apple Mail + Notes + Calendar. Everything works just fine, my main concern was Notes, but it works as expected with formatting / coloring / spacing / tabs / etc. One of the reasons to appreciate Apple - it just works :) . Another thing is about Apple Mail customization - that is very good, would say is in par with any other mail clients. And there is another thing I like in Apple Mail - direction while deleting messages, that is actually very nice. When you start deleting messages down, it will select next down message, when you delete up message, it will select next message up. That is actually missing in both Outlook classic and new one.

I'd have to agree. I'm not sure what it is with software companies but I find their sheer arrogance in terms of what they think is good for us breathtaking. And if they're coming out with a new iteration, what level of idiocy does it take to blind them to the fact that the removal of functionality is not an improvement.

One of the functions I found particularly useful in the old Outlook is the ability to add and remove columns. Now, the only columns available are From, Subject and Received. If it is still possible to add other columns, they've made a grand job of hiding how to do it.

Total ****! No Send/Receive Button. Then when I switched back to old Outlook it wouldn't let me add my IMAP accounts. So, had to change my profile. Total ****!
