The new update on OUTLOOK mail, is terrible

After researching how to get it back to how it looked, which was much more in my taste, much easier to navigate, had what I needed and nothing more, - I now see I can't get it back after it was updated.
I think i'm gonna completely disgard of this email, I liked how it looked on PC, it was dark, fast, easy to find things, now it's very complicated with a lot of options and tools i have no use for, and it's bright, with small buttons everywhere.

  • The browser version is alright, so that is what I will be using. I will uninstall outlook completely as a program from my PC, as I do not wish to have this update, and it's more trouble and much more confusing and irritating, than helping and good. It will complicate work and how easy it was before, but that's just how it is, when updates are being forced upon people.

It's a typical thing of big coperations to do this, so it dosen't surprise me, that some people who think they know it all, make something new, to shove down the users throat, instead of being able to choose ourselves.

Agreed - I'm constantly amazed how Microsoft thinks 'upgrade' means better when you eliminate some of the most useful and basic tools. IE: Try printing a copy of a draft email. Or...try to color code your calendared event... Good luck!!!

    Horrible - Horrible - effort!

I tried the toggle button for the preview and switched back as fast as I could. The New Outlook is garbage. I remember when I was using Pegasus Mail in the 1990s, early 2000s and at the time it was much more feature rich than the early versions of Outlook. Then Microsoft copied them, integrated all of the Pegasus Mail features into Outlook, resulting in a massive increase in adoption of Outlook. Today Microsoft is going backwards, stripping out most the useful granular features so they can force everyone into cloud based advertising and subscription fees. I will use Pegasus Mail again before I switch over to cloud based New Outlook trash. Corporate power users will start ditching New Outlook for lack of features. Not being able to have all these missing email features slows office productivity.

Why do I see adds in this new Outlook? 😤 They are disguised as emails and open browser if you click them. We all paid for Windows licence, we should not see adds in Microsoft products!

Please fix the interface, there is so much going on its not productive at all. The only improvement I saw was effectively searching for future meetings by name in a calendar view.

Had to switch back to the old view - dreading the forced change in 2024
