The new update on OUTLOOK mail, is terrible

After researching how to get it back to how it looked, which was much more in my taste, much easier to navigate, had what I needed and nothing more, - I now see I can't get it back after it was updated.
I think i'm gonna completely disgard of this email, I liked how it looked on PC, it was dark, fast, easy to find things, now it's very complicated with a lot of options and tools i have no use for, and it's bright, with small buttons everywhere.

  • The browser version is alright, so that is what I will be using. I will uninstall outlook completely as a program from my PC, as I do not wish to have this update, and it's more trouble and much more confusing and irritating, than helping and good. It will complicate work and how easy it was before, but that's just how it is, when updates are being forced upon people.

It's a typical thing of big coperations to do this, so it dosen't surprise me, that some people who think they know it all, make something new, to shove down the users throat, instead of being able to choose ourselves.

Have to agree with all the comments, the new outlook is pretty terrible. Most of us have spent years building a system for managing emails, tasks, calendar within the current framework. The new look and feel is so bad and seems to eliminate all of the powerful tools within the current desktop application. It seems like Microsoft is headed towards a one size fits all solutions between desktop and web, so making the desktop version look and feel exactly like the web version. The web version is okay for basic email functionality, but that's about it. Productivity will greatly suffer if this version is forced upon all of us who use outlook daily.

I swear I am having the same problem re the new outlook: I have always hated outlook and was pleasantly surprised when win 10 came up with the very simple very light no hassle mail app. But now even after all the negative feedback given by a huge majority of us users, they are still trying to force the new outlook on to us. PLEASE JUST DITCH THE THING ALREADY! Why are you people so fond of over complicating our lives? Aren't our lives complicated enough? Stop making things impractical and WHY THE SURVEY AND FEEDBACK IF YOU WONT LISTEN TO US?

Just let us keep the mail app PLEASE!!!!!! Right now when i was trying to open my mail app the damned outlook box kept trying to start up as a separate box and it wouldn't even load and wouldnt let my mail app load either. After 30 minutes I have finally managed to open the mail app. WTH people? We are the users, we should have the right to choose what suits us. KEEP YOUR OUTLOOK TO YOURSELF PLEASE. and leave us the heck alone. I am so so so peed off right now because HALF AN HOUR wasted on trying to open my mail with your outlook obstructing the whole process...as if microsoft edge wasn't enough: every time i accidentally turn on edge, the whole computer freezes. now outlook is freezing everything.

Does any remember the "New Coke"? This is a bad marketing decision on par with that fiasco. As many others have said, this is a case of letting graphic designers go wild and make something look "pretty" with no regard to functionality. MS just admit you made a big blunder and move on. Coca Cola had a press conference to announce its mistake. That's not something MS has the moxie to do, so just let it die a quiet death.
