The new update on OUTLOOK mail, is terrible

After researching how to get it back to how it looked, which was much more in my taste, much easier to navigate, had what I needed and nothing more, - I now see I can't get it back after it was updated.
I think i'm gonna completely disgard of this email, I liked how it looked on PC, it was dark, fast, easy to find things, now it's very complicated with a lot of options and tools i have no use for, and it's bright, with small buttons everywhere.

  • The browser version is alright, so that is what I will be using. I will uninstall outlook completely as a program from my PC, as I do not wish to have this update, and it's more trouble and much more confusing and irritating, than helping and good. It will complicate work and how easy it was before, but that's just how it is, when updates are being forced upon people.

It's a typical thing of big coperations to do this, so it dosen't surprise me, that some people who think they know it all, make something new, to shove down the users throat, instead of being able to choose ourselves.

It is truly grim... have Microsoft gone mad?

Nope. Profits and industry domination. It's all about attracting new users and not care about existing users. The "old" Outlook is too complex for new users. Only people that have been using/relying on it for many years are dealing with this frustration.

20 years in IT and I'm about to go get a job mowing lawns.

Agreed. The day I'm forced to use the new version is the day I'm unironically uninstalling it.

I've tested the new Outlook as well on the top right. As soon as I was in it. I instantly went back. ( Thank godnesss we can.)

The tool is close to an Outlook for toddlers with little to no functionality. The toolbar is a horrible nightmare now with no functionality. Why take away what makes Outlook better than any other installed emailing tools ?

What makes Outlook great is :

    • Multiple functions
    • Infinite customization

By simplifying, you're making the tool a nightmare because it doesn't let power users do what they like doing best with the tool. If we wanted to use simple tools, we would be using things like gmail or thunderbird.

I'm not against simplification. I'm against simplification at the cost of usability.

It is not typical. Only evil corporations without a moral compass.
