After researching how to get it back to how it looked, which was much more in my taste, much easier to navigate, had what I needed and nothing more, - I now see I can't get it back after it was updated. I think i'm gonna completely disgard of this email, I liked how it looked on PC, it was dark, fast, easy to find things, now it's very complicated with a lot of options and tools i have no use for, and it's bright, with small buttons everywhere. The browser version is alright, so that is what I will be using. I will uninstall outlook completely as a program from my PC, as I do not wish to have this update, and it's more trouble and much more confusing and irritating, than helping and good. It will complicate work and how easy it was before, but that's just how it is, when updates are being forced upon people. It's a typical thing of big coperations to do this, so it dosen't surprise me, that some people who think they know it all, make something new, to shove down the users throat, instead of being able to choose ourselves.

(Why would a company change my setting and expect me to figure out how to get it back to how it was without a simple button for it?) Please advisehow to do it.

There's the part I really don't understand about this: Microsoft's continued insistence that this is all entirely optional. I guess that can be argued, but only in the sense that one has the option of whether or not to use Outlook in the first place. The truth is, they've changed their interface, we've no choice anymore, and they're betting that we'll get used to it before a better alternative emerges. I'd respect them more if they'd just say that instead of insulting our intelligence. I agree.

I had this new version of outlook for some week. But today i rolled back to the old version. The new outlook is really bad. When try to read/se new mail on this version is no go. I have a second screen were this app lives on in vertical mode. And the old one is just som mutch better. I want to see this mail program live on for use in simplicity as it offers today. I dont need more stuff so it wont work i vertical mode. I just want to read/write mails and see it in full with out new tabs popping up so i can see the mail e.t.c.

I just clicked on try the new Outlook and I like that I can pin items to the top of the list but I am missing all the basic functionality. There is no File option so I can get to Account Settings top add or remove accounts, there is no Send/Receive, there is no status at the bottom of the screen to show me if I am connected or the status of syncing to my PC. I agree with everyone on this page. Outlook for the PC/MAC is a business app and just adding the Pin feature and leaving everything else alone would have been perfect for me. If it says "try", I expect there to be a way to say "Nope" and go back. I have searched and searched and all I find in Help is that "it is no longer possible to return to the previous Outlook." Bad on you Microsoft. Maybe talk to business customers before taking away common functionality! The new version looks like a child's web app and has such limited functionality that I will be forced to use the GMAIL app so I can get at least a small part of the functionality I previously took for granted back. Microsoft may be trying to shift the focus to the 5-second-gratification crowd but you are alienating the customers who butter your bread! I had the same problem. But finally I found an answer in one of the forums. Just search for outlook.exe in the Windows search field and run it. It will restart the old Outlook. I had personal folders that totally disappeared with the new version, including a folder with over 45,000 emails in it. Running the old version again showed all the folders, including personal ones, remained intact.

The new update on OUTLOOK mail, is terrible
