The new update on OUTLOOK mail, is terrible

After researching how to get it back to how it looked, which was much more in my taste, much easier to navigate, had what I needed and nothing more, - I now see I can't get it back after it was updated.
I think i'm gonna completely disgard of this email, I liked how it looked on PC, it was dark, fast, easy to find things, now it's very complicated with a lot of options and tools i have no use for, and it's bright, with small buttons everywhere.

  • The browser version is alright, so that is what I will be using. I will uninstall outlook completely as a program from my PC, as I do not wish to have this update, and it's more trouble and much more confusing and irritating, than helping and good. It will complicate work and how easy it was before, but that's just how it is, when updates are being forced upon people.

It's a typical thing of big coperations to do this, so it dosen't surprise me, that some people who think they know it all, make something new, to shove down the users throat, instead of being able to choose ourselves.

In the MacOS client version of Outlook, go to the "Help" menu and select "Revert to Legacy", toward the bottom of the list.

good question. I used Thunderbird many years ago and it was very good.

But I am a light user and no idea what it's like now.

Trouble is, all the people I deal with are on MS so, whatever alternative, needs to work smoothly with Teams etc..

It's almost like MS are trying to be like their best buddies over in Apple with their ecosystem. Surely not?? :-)

Just wondering what everyone's favorite Outlook alternative is? I use Gmail with Outlook 365 for my private business and open to suggestions. I tried MailBird and was not all that impressed.

In our Corp network, IT has made it so you can't connect with anything but outlook. MS can ignore us as long as they please the sysadmins.

You IT can block the Outlook "new look". There are at least two methods to do so.

At my work we rarely make comment about the rapid updates that Office brings our users, but for this update we put out a WARNING for all users to NOT choose to try the new Outlook. First time ever we've done that.

Oh, we tried the setting that was supposed to turn that off for our users so they wouldn't see the slider. Didn't work of course.

    Yeah, great quality.
