The new update on OUTLOOK mail, is terrible

After researching how to get it back to how it looked, which was much more in my taste, much easier to navigate, had what I needed and nothing more, - I now see I can't get it back after it was updated.
I think i'm gonna completely disgard of this email, I liked how it looked on PC, it was dark, fast, easy to find things, now it's very complicated with a lot of options and tools i have no use for, and it's bright, with small buttons everywhere.

  • The browser version is alright, so that is what I will be using. I will uninstall outlook completely as a program from my PC, as I do not wish to have this update, and it's more trouble and much more confusing and irritating, than helping and good. It will complicate work and how easy it was before, but that's just how it is, when updates are being forced upon people.

It's a typical thing of big coperations to do this, so it dosen't surprise me, that some people who think they know it all, make something new, to shove down the users throat, instead of being able to choose ourselves.

I'm just replying to my original message about how horrible this new system is. It is so much more time consuming to do literally everything. THIS IS TERRIBLE. I now have to delete messages to switch to my other emails if I accidently create a new message in another email account. Before it would let me switch between them easily. This is the same for creating a meeting in a separate calendar. I now have to delete the entire calendar event and switch it to the other calendar. This is so inconvenient.

It's also now harder to delete copy in emails where I don't want to forward the entire message to someone else. This doesn't even make any sense why?

Not to mention that I can't easily delete messages. I have to hold the control key and click the space bar on my laptop to see the checkmark option and it's so hard to do. Like it's clunky and keeps shutting it off and I have to redo it a million times. The same with the stupid trash can on the end of the messages. It's harder to click them than the previous Outlook.

This just enrages me and makes me never want to use Outlook again, when I used to like it more than Gmail. F this Microsoft. You lose.

The new outlook was frustrating and ridiculous. Not for professionals at all. Not sure what Microsoft was thinking. Switched to old and not going back.

I've tested the new Outlook as well on the top right. As soon as I was in it. I instantly went back. ( Thank godnesss we can.)

The tool is close to an Outlook for toddlers with little to no functionality. The toolbar is a horrible nightmare now with no functionality. Why take away what makes Outlook better than any other installed emailing tools ?

What makes Outlook great is :

    • Multiple functions
    • Infinite customization

By simplifying, you're making the tool a nightmare because it doesn't let power users do what they like doing best with the tool. If we wanted to use simple tools, we would be using things like gmail or thunderbird.

I'm not against simplification. I'm against simplification at the cost of usability.

I like new stuffs and gadgets. Tried the "new Outlook" for 2 months and tried to get acustomised with it. I like the new style and presentation but sorry Outlook Team, this new Outlook is not productive nor efficient.

    1. All attachments have a variety of options to open : that is fine but can we permanently select that we want it to be opened with a default app when we double click on the attachment. Like in the windows folder where we can pre-select the app that will open that particular type of file with a default app. I can understand the need of someone who just like to review it and not edit. But at least give the option for users who need to always edit and aware of the risk of accidentally edit files, a permanent selection.
    2. Reply with different font and colours : when we reply to a sender's email and if there are a list of queries in their original email. We would reply and request the sender to refer to the below "different" colour replies that we did. The problem here lies is when we go down to the original email and type in our replies for each query then change font & colour for "only our replies", it also changes the font & colours of the senders email. So, I highlight the original senders replies then change it back to their original font and colour. The issue is sometimes it works and sometimes it also changes my replies to the original senders font & colours. This is what I meant by wasting my time.
    3. Searching for large emails : the new Outlook no longer has the ability in the Option to search for emails that exceed a certain size. I want it back.
    4. Signature formats : it is being default with a double spacing format. Please put it back to single spacing and for users who wanted larger spacing, we could "enter" it twice.
