Also if you want to remove by default the remove the require server verification (HTTPS) for all sites in this zone you can use this:

This isn't working for me. We've had this issue for a month now and I was hoping the patch tuesday updates would fix it but no luck. Also, as I said, adding these reg keys did not help.

If you add the sites to Trusted Sites it should enable you to open the links. The reg key Jorge shared stops the confirmation prompt dialog below.

I want to add ip addresses to the trusted sites.

I added file:///\192.x.x.x and even unchecked the Require server verification (https) for all sites in this zone.

Unfortunately the issue is still there and the link can not be opened. Any advice?

Any updates on the permanent fix?
