    TO funny how do you have 400 users do that fix. Most user know there way around TikTok and there phones better than there work machines.

    The fix can be deployed via Group Policy

    GPO: User Configuration

    Policy: \Windows Components\Internet Explorer\Internet Control Panel\Security Page\Site to Zone Assignment List

    Registry keys can also be prepared and distributed.

    I used group policy to add our FQDN for DFS to trusted sites which resolved the link issue in Outlook. However, clicking the link now generates 2 security warnings:

    I was able to resolve the first warning message with the following registry edit but I cannot figure out how to suppress the second warning message.

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Common\Security]

    "DisableHyperlinkWarning"=dword:00000001

    Before this link issue was introduced by Microsoft, users could click on any link pointing to a network file and the file would open automatically without any prompting. Any ideas how to disable the "Opening Mail Attachment" warning in Outlook?

    Add the file location to the trusted websites seems to do the trick.

    That is a work around for now. Microsoft introduced the problem in recent updates and it should be fixed.
