Outlook 365 Calendar view shows 12am regardless that Work Week of 8am-5pm is set up.

Changed work hours on both laptops running the same version and the calendar still opens at midnight regardless of the settings change.

Adding one more to this topic.

If I use my standard calendar account, I do not have this issue. If I select an addition calendar, and I Keep them separated, I do not have this issue

If I merge the external calendar with my standard calendar in a single view, I trigger the issue.

Example

Right now it is 1.20 PM (US central time) here.

I will switch tab from email to calendar in office 365, and I see this

If I activate another calendar (internet calendar from an app called Cozi) in side by side view, I go back to email tab, and then I come back to the calendar, I see this

If I combine the two calendar in a single view and I do NOT change tab, I see this

If I go to the email tab (or any other tab) and go back to the calendar, I see this

The view is reset to show 12 am as the first row. You may notice that the horizontal line with a white circle (which indicates the current time in the calendar) is not visible.

If I switch to separate views mode, the problem does not happen.

Therefore, the issue is with the "Overlay" settings.

Also, please note that this issue happens in ALL view modes BUT the Schedule view mode.

I also had this exact issue of my calendar start time always going to 12am when I would change to "email" and then change back to Calendar. From the info that Fabrizio Donnarumma provided, I too had 2 calendars showing in 1 view. I removed Calendar 2 and checked my setting for work hours, I then added calendar #2, removed #1, and checked the setting for work hours. Both had the correct settings of 8am - 5pm. I then went back to show both calendars and put them both in the same view, and now the problem is GONE! It works exactly like it should, and I cannot get it to fail, no matter what I do. I do not know which step got the problem to go away, but it did. I did not close the program or change any of the settings (although I did "OK" the settings screen, but didn't change anything) or anything else, just 4 simple steps.

Very strange fix indeed but it worked, I even joined the 2 calendars again and the calendars are opening at the current time and not at midnight like they used to. thanks for the tip. Much appreciated.

Mike: I had the identical problem and your solution worked for me as well - good job on taking the time to fiddle with this and then report on your findings. I also agree with Fabrizio - this smells like an overlay issue...GW
