Outlook showing "from" field when replying to an email addressed or cc'd to me

Very recently, don't know the exact date, when replying to an email, addressed to me or I'm cc'd, Outlook shows the "from" field (with my email address, no other account).

I have one email account, I cannot find a solution to stop this from appearing, it doesn't impact anything, just it never used to show it, now it does.

It doesn't appear if I create a new email (wouldn't expect it to, as I only have one account), It also doesn't appear If I reply to an email that doesn't name me but am part of a mail group.

Anyone else have this "issue", a workaround or is there a fix?

Yep, that's the Key - I don't use aliases, so no idea what changed.

I just posted that the issue was resolved, it isn't it still happens on replies and cc'd messages

OK... so, it worked on the first few emails I replied to, but I just replied to another email and the "From" is back!!! I didn't do anything else, didn't change any settings, didn't even close / restart outlook... it's just there again!! So beyond annoying.

I'm assuming we're still talking about:

    \HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Preference\ShowFrom

If so, I tried it again with no change. I suspect the reason why it's not working for some of us has to do with aliases. When I click on the ever-present From box and choose Manage List, there's the one address I want checked and greyed-out. Under that are 4 aliases I never use, unchecked. Something about that must be triggering the visibility of the field, something that changed last year.

Just keeping this alive and wanting to receive the updates when it is fixed(Wishful thinking, I know...). I also have this issue, as well as many co-workers. Some do not have multiple accounts/alias', some do. All have the same issue, and the suggested "fixes" from Microsoft do not work. Pretty frustrating.

I too have this issue from more than last 6 months. I request Microsoft Developers to fix the issues without annoying the users.

After reading the whole thread, I feel this is not the good sign of treating customer feedback. Please fix the bug ASAP

Still not fixed... the boss of a customer company really hates it, we switched to exchange online and m365 office recently....

Is it that hard to fix this and keep it hidden on reply' and forwards?
