Group emails have stopped sending

I have had a hotmail account for years , 2 years ago I created a 2nd hotmail account to use for my choir. Within this I made a group so that I could email all 34 members in one go.

This has worked fine until Friday when they are sending and come back saying “the recipients email system isn’t accepting messages now. Please try resending your message later or contact the receipient direct” further down it shows Remote server returned 421 4.3.2 Service not available.

I have tried sending from the choir email and my own and it doesn’t work. I can send emails to individual members and get replies and if I put all members in individually it will send to all 34 at once .Have tried deleting group and making a new one and it still won’t go……any ideas please

More info: Users that encounter this problem receive an error stating there was a delivery failure to the recipient.

Current status: We're reviewing available service telemetry and user-provided data to assess the cause of this problem and how we'll resolve it.

    Its way to complicated for me!. I am banking on them getting it fixed, but I am surprised that there are not more people reporting the fault. How many people are there out there who use Outlook groups?. I have even thought about upgrading to Office 365, but as my groups are understanding at present, I am hoping somebody on here will tell me when its up and running again!.

    A temporary solution for multiple groups is more difficult to manage but can be done.

    Are they large groups? What about privacy - do you need to hide people's email addresses or not. Does everybody in the group send emails to everybody else or is it just a small number of people who tend to email the group and the rest tend to be passive recipients? Do you need to be the only administrator or can you appoint an administrator for each group?

    You will need to work it out depending on privacy and how your groups interact and use the MS Group Emails.

    Options:

    A) set up a personal group contact list for each group in Outlook which only you (or the administrator for each group) would be able to use, and can act as the 'distributor' for everybody in their group. BCC can be used to hide the email addresses in the group.

    OR

    B) follow mimorgan's suggestion and set up separate Word documents containing the email addresses for each group. The Word documents can be versioned to manage amendments. The Word document for each group can be 'managed' by each adminstrator. The Word document can then be sent to each member of the group (if they are allowed to see each other's email addresses) and they can just Copy and Paste the list of email addresses for their group. If privacy is required then each administrator only will see the document and can act as the distributor for their group.
