Group emails have stopped sending

OMG it is August and this is still an issue for me, as it was in July as well. When is this going to be fixed.

In my case, the company where I work is using all the Microsoft environment. I recently bought a Microsoft Surface tablet and gave my old but pretty decent Samsung Tab S4 to my daughter, but realized Windows is not comfortable to be used in tablets at all, and the only reason for me to change is hard to believe: in Excel I couldn't use the checkboxes that are in most of my company's form because they don't work in Excel mobile, they are not even compatible with Excel web! Microsoft need to take this seriously.
BTW now I have outlook groups and contact groups (duplicated groups! Yeah! The nightmare of every IT guy) because if I delete outlook groups my past conversations and files would dissappear :-(
To me, the problem with groups must be a corrupted database index, really easy to fix from Microsoft's side.

That´s exactly what happens to me since some time ago. I have several groups and randomly 1 or 2 stop working for days, then work again but fail another. I cannot see contacts inside the group. It is really annoying.

Alternativs to Outlook Groups

I'm nearing the point of giving up on Outlook Groups. I am the admin for a really small group of the Committee managing our apatment building (8 people, including me) plus a coupld of trusted senders. We essentially use it as a simple multi-sender email distribution list, and has worked well up until a few weeks ago. Now we have one problem after another, with bounces messages, obscure error messages etc. I've just about had enough.

What are the best alterantives (free or low cost)?

I'd like it to fucntion as follows:

• Members (set up by me): Receive all emails sent through the list. Can send to all members by sending an email to a single address ( e.g. ******@ourmailsystem.com)

Non-members: can send to all members via the single address ******@ourmailsystem.com. Do not receive messages sent through the list.

In other words, there are no 'trusted senders' - everyone is a trusted sender

I realise that there may be spam concerns with this, but the address would not be publicised anywhere so I don't think it woule be a problem.

If this 'open' sender option is not available in commercially run groups (as it isn't in Outlook Groups) then ther 'trusted senders' option would be a fallback.

Note: even though I have used the example domain "ourmailsystem.com" I don't mean to suggest that we would necessarily use a custom domain - the preference is for a pre-existing system and domain, as per some of the examples below.

Groups.io - setup/admin looks quite lcomples, and I don't t think the Admin can add members directly in the free version

Groups.google.com

Gmail.com with 8 simultenaeous forwarding 'rules' directing to the 8 members

Custom domain: we do actually have a custom domain (the building name) but we don't have a website yet or the time to commission the creation of one (not a priority hen there are other major maintenance projects going on). But I am interested to know there is a relatively simple and easy way to set up a mail distribution list without it costing too much in hosting etc and taking too much time. As mentioned above, intuitively I feel that a pre-existing mail system would be better. Come back, Yahoo Groups!
