How to stop outlook from opening a browser every time I create a meeting?

Every time I click on New Meeting it opens my browser and its very frustrating. How do you shut this functionality off?

    Updating my hosts file with the following entry stopped me from getting this issue. How Outlook continues to function after this I have no idea.

    C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\hosts

    127.0.0.1 outlook.office.com

    Here is the Known Issue to track fix status, Outlook unexpectedly opens a browser window if OWA is disabled - Microsoft Support. We are expecting the fix in mid April.
