The last update I got was the service fix was 99.98% rolled out. I have asked my peers to check if it finished or not. I'll test with my test tenant tomorrow and double check the fix is working as expected. I'll share back what I find.

It's just pointing to generic https://outlook.office.com

Issue happens when the user launches the Outlook application. It was also mentioned it happens intermittently when composing a new email.

Are you able to share the URL of the prompt? I would like to test and double check which OWA Powered Experience (OPX) control it is and see if I can repro and check on status for it.

    Hi all,

Outlook and Service Dev just updated that the fixed build changed so I updated the Known Issue article with that information, Outlook unexpectedly opens a browser window if OWA is disabled - Microsoft Support. From your earlier comments I want to make clear that the fix is a service side change, so we only need to check the service version for the fix. The way to do this is to use the Connection Status Dialog in Outlook. To use it do the following:

    1. In the bottom right of Windows, locate the Outlook icon in the System Tray.
    2. Press the Ctrl button and right click on the Outlook icon
    3. Click Connection Status

To check the service version look at the last column. The fix will start showing up in Version 15.20.6249.00. Its permanant fix is in Version 15.20.6292.00. We are still anticipating mid-April for those versions to become available.

My 15.20.62xx ones you see are an outlook.com email while the 15.20.61s are Exchange Online - Commercial (which is where our issue occurs)
