Using older versions of Outlook for Mac in business environments
I am having the same exact problem as the author of this original post is having. I too am using a Mac with Safari and it started on or about May 8, 2023.

Since today, when I try to compose an email it will let me type in both the subject and body fields (as normal) but not in the 'To' field to enter the recipient's email address.
I click on the 'To' bit and nothing happens. I hover the cursor over it and try to type - nothing happens. I'm blocked out from entering any email addresses.
It means I cannot send any new emails from my account via my desktop. Seems to be just fine from my phone.
It's bizarre and frustrating and I can't find anything about it online.
Desktop is an older iMac using Safari. Never had a problem before.

I have the same problem. Very frustrating. I must use safari. I emptied all cookies as per the instructions below. I can compose and email but can't enter the recipient.
Having the same issue.
I clicked on the "TO" box and selected a recipient's email address. That worked.
However doing this does not let me input a "CC" or "BCC" recipient.
Still trying to figure out.
I am as of the last few days having the same problem. I can receive emails but cannot send. Wont let me enter recipient name in the "To" box. Ive only used about 5% of my storage. Its happening on my iMac, Ipad, and I phone
Hello Microsoft engineers!
It seems there are plenty of people with the exact same issue, and also that the issue has just started happening in the last week or two.
So this problem has arisen from a change Microsoft has made in Outlook 365 ... it's not something that we Mac users have decided to do all at the same time to screw up our own use of Outlook!
Please look into this URGENTLY for the Mac community.
Thanks and best wishes
